Veda's parents, Hetal & Brijesh, share their story...

‘It was only after our daughter turned 8 months old we started noticing regression in her development. Due to the pandemic we were turned around from the NHS for any early intervention consultations or therapies that our daughter would have benefited from. We felt lost and didn’t know how we could help her. It was quite an emotional ride.

Our daughter was two when we found Playskill and she was taken in for assessment and for therapies. The therapies they offer, including SLT, OT & Physiotherapy. Our daughter is now three and we have seen a lot of positive changes in her. She can now stand up independently (we’re hoping she will take her first step soon), with a bit more awareness of the world around her. We are all still working on a lot of other things for her overall development.

As parents, we have both benefitted from all the various training sessions we attend that are held by Playskill for parents like us. We absolutely love attending the events that Playskill organises for mums, dads, siblings, or for the whole family. It gives us a sense of community and support we can build around us.

We are grateful to all the staff at Playskill who give that extra love and compassion to our children to help them reach their potential.’
