Community involvment

Communities are at the heart of what we do here at Playskill and bringing people together to support our cause is so important.

Whether you are a nursery, school, college or university, a sports club, rotary, W.I, round table, book club, U3A or any other community group, there are many ways you can get involved. Or take on a fundraiser with family & friends, or in your workplace. There’s something for everyone. We will support you every step of the way, from idea to execution and can supply Playskill balloons, banners, t-shirts & more.

For one week in July we ask you to challenge yourself for to raise vital funds for local children with disabilities. Whether it’s something sporty or something creative, choose something suitably challenge for this sponsored event.

10k steps a day, or 100 lengths, skips or squats, 1000 crochet stiches, a marathon game playing session, the choice is yours!

Is your child’s school looking to support a local charity? Or do you work at a school and want to show your support. There are so many ways you can fundraise for us such as dress down days, movie nights, discos or even a sponsored silence to please the teachers! You could also nominate Playskill as your school’s chosen charity of the year. We’ve got loads of ideas so please do get in touch to find out more.

Are you part of a local community group - a Rotary, WI, Townswomen’s Guild or Lions group and looking for speakers? We are so proud of the work we do here at Playskill and this is a great way to spread the word in our local area. If you would like to hear more about us, please email us.

Similarly, if your local group would like to support with fundraising or volunteering, we have opportunities such as bucket collections and Christmas gift wrapping. Or perhaps you are putting on a local event and would like to raise funds through it for Playskill. Contact us today to talk through your ideas.

Do you work in a pub, café or restaurant? Here are a few fun ways you can get involved.

Host a quiz.
Dedicate a red-themed menu item to Playskill with a percentage donated to Playskill. It could be a delicious strawberry cocktail or mocktail or slice of red velvet cake.
Organise a raffle either online or in person.
A collection tin on the bar or counter for people’s loose change. It all adds up and makes a real difference.

Fundraising with friends, family and colleagues is a wonderful way of coming together to support a local cause and there are so many exciting ways you can get involved, have fun and make a difference.

Fundraising ideas come in all shapes and sizes and our dedicated Fundraising Team are here to support you all the way. It could be a bake sale, quiz night or sponsored head shave. Or for those who like to get sporty, why not organise a charity cricket or 5-a-side football match to bring the local community together?
