At our free weekly term-time specialist playgroups in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, we provide access to expert therapies (physiotherapy, occupational and speech and language therapy) tailored to the child’s needs.

Each group session uses play as a tool for development - while the children are having fun, they are also learning to stand, eat, walk, communicate, feed and dress themselves.

We run events for the whole family throughout the year. These include fun, accessible family events, sibling events offering parents the chance to spend quality time with siblings alone, and parent-only activities for much needed child-free time.

We know that a support network of fellow parents facing similar challenges can be a lifeline, and these events give the whole family a chance to make connections and share experiences, outside of Playskill groups.

We support children, up to five years of age, where there are concerns over their physical development*. This could be due to a medical diagnosis, e.g. physical disability, cerebral palsy/birth injury, Down Syndrome, genetic condition, global development delay, visual impairment, Spina Bifida or a delay with any of the physical milestones* for an undiagnosed/unknown reason.

*Physical milestones:

This could be rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, feeding themselves, holding on to objects, using both hands together.

We accept applications direct from families, and referrals from professionals with the family’s consent.

If you think your child meets the criteria, please  complete the application form  where you will be asked for details about your child’s developmental delays and any relevant medical diagnosis to help us know how best to support you.
