There are a few different ways that you can donate to Playskill

Regular giving

Setting up a Direct Debit is one of the best ways you can show your support to Playskill and help fund our vital service. Having guaranteed income each month allows us to plan ahead knowing that the funding is secure.

It’s a simple process for you to set up a Direct Debit to Playskill, which we operate through CAF Bank. Visit CAF, select 'I'd like to give regularly' and follow the steps.

Transferring funds

Already raised funds or have a lump sum to donate? You can donate online via CAF or get in touch for bank transfer details.

Legacy

Leaving a gift in your Will to Playskill, once you’ve taken care of your family and friends, will help secure our future, meaning more children will reach their full potential in life.

In memory (funeral collections)

Many people choose to ask for donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral. If you would like Playskill to benefit from donations, please get in touch and we can provide you with information you may need for the order of service or funeral directors.

In memory of someone

Donating in someone’s memory is a wonderful way to remember them and their life. If you would like to donate to Playskill in memory of a loved one you can do so directly to us or by setting up your own fundraising page.

In celebration

Do you have a milestone birthday, a wedding or a big celebration coming up? You can donate to Playskill in lieu of gifts or favours. We can provide bespoke cards for favours with information about our work. Set up a fundraising page on justgiving or get in touch for more information.

Gift In Kind (also under corporate)

Could you donate gifts or services to Playskill to help fund or support our work? This could be toys or equipment for our children, auction items to help raise funds, services including photography or advertising, or anything you think could be useful to us as a small charity. If you can help, please get in touch.

Gift Aid: make your money go further

Gift Aid is a government led scheme that allows charities and community groups to claim back from HMRC the tax paid (25%) on donations they receive from individuals.

If you are a UK tax payer, you could be eligible. View our Gift Aid declaration page. Remember you will need to notify us if you:

  • Want to cancel your declaration
  • Change your name or home address
  • No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

Lottery

Playskill is part of the Watford Community Lottery where you can be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000 each week, plus regular prize draws for just £1 per line. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance of winning and 50% of the ticket price goes directly to Playskill. Play now.

Online shopping

Platforms such as Easy Fundraising give Playskill a percentage of funds every time you spend with most major retailers. You’ll do your online shop as normal, simply sign up and link through to your chosen shop. It couldn’t be easier!

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving, also known as workplace giving and give as you earn, is a simple and easy way for people to donate to Playskill, and it's tax free!

Payroll Giving donations are deducted from your pay before tax so each £1 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.

Most companies will have payroll giving set up, so all you have to do is let your employer know you'd like to donate to Playskill and give them our details.
