IT Support Technician

We are looking for a person experienced in IT primarily to support Playskill staff in their use of various IT systems and the IT aspects of mobile phones as they conduct their work in the Playskill charity.

You will be working for an Award winning charity Playskill who work with pre-school age children with physical difficulty in a play based setting with a multi-disciplinary team based in Watford, but also in Hemel Hempstead. To provide assistance in streamlining our existing IT systems (where appropriate) and provide occasional training for staff/volunteers as necessary. An understanding of the new Data Protection laws is essential and an understanding of basic networking is desirable. The applicant should either have knowledge of, or be willing to learn in their own time the concepts of Office365 such as Onedrive, Exchange email, Sharepoint, Teams. Access to both online learning resources and an experienced IT consultant as a mentor will be given.

Pay rate is from £12 per hour [Including Holiday Pay] and depending on experience, with pension option. Working 10.5 hours per week flexibly from home, the office and other locations across Monday, Tuesday & Friday’s with occasional calls outside of these days for critical emergencies or planned important events, such out of working hour needs occur about six times a year.

PLAYSKILL is an award winning Charity operating in Watford and Hemel Hempstead.  Our skilled team work with children who have a wide range of disabilities in parent/carer and child groups.  We achieve outstanding results consistently beating the improvement targets which are agreed for each child.

Financially sound and with good governance we are now poised for a period of expansion.

We are looking for experienced, skilled and capable people to join our Trustee team. We are looking for candidates who will bring new skills in all areas but particularly Finance and in Fundraising and Marketing.  Candidates who will enjoy and add value to our current team of Trustees.
