SPECIALIST WORKER POSITION

Required for the charity Playskill with pre-school age children, working in a play based setting. 

Monday and Tuesday term time, 8.45-12.15pm in Watford Hertfordshire. 

Experience of working with children with Special Needs is essential and applicants need to be fit for pre-school based work.   

DBS & references. £9.22 per hr. [including holiday pay], with pension option. 

Informal visits welcomed Tuesday 23rd April.  Start date 7th May 2019.

LEAD COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER

Playskill is award winning charity which is seeking to recruit a dynamic & energetic person to help us develop our community and corporate corporate, community and trust fundraising. You will have excellent communication skills, and will lead a team with 2 other part time fundraisers, therefore experience in line-management is essential. The post holder will have skills and experience in soliciting high level donations, creating relationships with those who are fundraising for us in the local area, and experience of community fundraising and event management as well as being able to demonstrate excellence in proposal writing skills. Playskill is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, and who has ideally worked within a similar role or can demonstrate the relevant skills and experience required in the job description.  You will be confident working independently, be highly organised and will have a pro-active, can-do approach to your work.

A full driving licence and use of a car is required for this position, as you will be required to complete some travel for events and meetings ( expenses are covered). 

 The job will involve some home working, with some events and meetings on weekends and evenings. IT skills are essential, plus access to a computer and the internet. 

 Part-time role 25-34 hours per week.  Hours are flexible with reduced hours in school holidays, daytime term time availability is essential on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays.  Rate between £14-£20 per hour, depending on experience. 

 DBS and references essential.  Membership of the Institute of Fundraising is desirable.

PLAYSKILL is an award winning Charity operating in Watford and Hemel Hempstead.  Our skilled team work with children who have a wide range of disabilities in parent/carer and child groups.  We achieve outstanding results consistently beating the improvement targets which are agreed for each child.

Financially sound and with good governance we are now poised for a period of expansion.

We are looking for experienced, skilled and capable people to join our Trustee team. We are looking for candidates who will bring new skills in all areas but particularly Finance and in Fundraising and Marketing.  Candidates who will enjoy and add value to our current team of Trustees.
