Early Intervention for Pre-school Children with Physical Difficulty or Delay in Hertfordshire – Extra Places Now Available!

Welcoming Referrals from Professionals and Parents/ Carers.

We are pleased to let you know that we are still taking referrals for our specialist therapy sessions for children with physical difficulty or delay.

Playskill is a local Hertfordshire charity running free specialist skills-development groups for pre-school children (aged 1-5) who are not achieving their physical milestones of sitting, standing and walking.

Our weekly, term-time sessions offer children and their families expert support from a Paediatric Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist, plus support and training for parents/ carers.

We want to work with local service providers, parents and carers to ensure children and families who may benefit get the help they need quickly.

We are delighted to announce that Playskill has recently received additional funding that will enable us to take on extra children this Autumn Term (October to December 2020) and for the Spring term (January – March 2021).

If you are a professional working with a child, or a parent seeking support, we are here to help – we will assess children and give input as necessary from age 1 to 5. Treatment and all services are completely free to families.

We are expecting high demand for our services so would encourage you to make an early referral.

Based in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, we welcome interest from Watford and Three Rivers, Dacorum, St Albans, Hertsmere, and other surrounding local areas.

To register your interest, please visit www.playskill.org/contact-us or call us on 01923 227 229.

Presently, in light of the current pandemic, we are operating a blend of remote and face-to-face therapy sessions. Remote sessions are via video conferencing, and face-to-face sessions strictly adhere to Government health and safety guidelines.
