9th June 2017: Cedric Levitt

Playskill is very sad to announce today the loss of Cedric Levitt trustee of Playskill and dynamic fundraiser for us as a charity. He was a passionate character and much loved by all at the charity.

I first met Cedric after he visited Playskill through a contact Brian Gray from the Fence club. He came and sat and watched the whole group and after that sped into action. He has fundraised for the Playskill groups ever since. His wonderful support for the Playskill parents through outings with the Rotary club, parents lunches and dinners and Theatre trips were hugely appreciated by parents under great strain in their lives. His provision of a shed and a van through the Classic Car Club have been hugely practical and life changing for us as a small charity. His enthusiasm and can do attitude has been personally life changing for me as a new person to the world of charity work. He will be hugely missed. I was very honoured to see him in the last few hours of his life and so grateful for the opportunity to do something small for him for a change.

Playskill Director

I have known Cedric since I became Chair of Playskill, and he has been a wonderful supporter and ambassador of Playskill in his position as Trustee. Cedric was his own person and made his important contributions in his own way. He always focussed on the Children and the Mums. His Theatre outings and Evenings out were an important part of "the way we do things". He raised large amounts of money through the Watford Classic Car Club where as Chairman he always ensured that Playskill was right at the top of their donation list. I will personally miss him very much I always enjoyed our informal meetings over lunch when he told me the Cedric view of the world and politely brushed aside my remarks about how helpful it would be if he used e-mail!
